The Annual SMA Conference is an invaluable resource for the entire spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) community and is an opportunity to strengthen the connections among individuals with SMA, their families, and researchers and healthcare providers.

2025 Annual SMA Conference

We hope that you will join us at the 2025 Annual SMA Conference, which will take place from Thursday, June 26 through Sunday, June 29 at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim, California. Pre-registration is now closed. If you missed out on pre-registration, you will still be able to register on site.

If you plan on attending and registering onsite, please email [email protected] with the full name(s) and age(s) of the attendee(s) so we can be sure to accommodate you and set you up to register onsite.

We will also send you your link to book your discounted hotel room (based on availability).

Onsite registration will be open during the following hours at the Cure SMA Registration Desk, located in the Convention Center of the Disneyland Hotel’s Fantasy Tower:

  • Wednesday, June 25 from 5:00pm – 7:30pm
  • Thursday, June 26 from 9:00am – 6:00pm
  • Friday, June 27 from 7:15am – 4:45pm
  • Saturday, June 28 from 7:15am – 3:40pm

Name badges will be provided once you check in at the Cure SMA Registration Desk.

Cure SMA Offers Scholarships For Individuals and Families Who Wish to Attend the Annual SMA Conference.

The Adults with SMA Scholarship program offers a scholarship to every adult with SMA and their personal care assistant. The scholarship will cover registration fees, a travel stipend and one hotel room for three nights at the specified conference hotel.

The First Time Attendee Scholarship program is a scholarship that covers any individual with SMA who has never attended the Annual SMA Conference previously, and up to four immediate family members. The scholarship covers registration fees for those attendees, as well as one hotel for three nights at the specified conference hotel. Thank you to the support from the Luke 18:1 Foundation for sponsorship of this scholarship!

For families who are not newly diagnosed, we offer general, needs-based scholarships as well. Attendees can reach out to Cure SMA to receive information on any of these scholarship opportunities.

Through the conference, we bring together researchers, healthcare professionals, individuals with SMA, and their families to network, learn, and collaborate.
