Just over a month ago, we announced a year-end goal of $540,000 to help fund SMA research and family support. Thanks to the generosity of our community, we’re well on our way to that goal. Less than $20,000 separates us from that benchmark.
We think we can do even more next year. Developing a treatment and cure will require an historic commitment. That’s why we’re increasing our year-end goal to $750,000, the most ever raised for our year-end campaign.
Working together as a community, we have accelerated research and helped families who are living with SMA. And now, we’re closing in on new milestones.
We are getting closer and closer to a treatment and cure. We now have:
- 17 new drugs in development.
- 7 active clinical trials in progress.
- 12 companies investing resources and expertise in SMA drug development.
