This spring some of our key events are celebrating their 10th year in support of funding a treatment and a cure for SMA.
Over the next two months, the OKI Chapter Walk-n-Roll, Pennsylvania Chapter Walk-n-Roll and the Rocky Mountain Golf Tournament will each celebrate 10 years of fundraising success, raising a total of over $254,000 with roughly 1,800 families and friends participating.
Thanks to long-standing events like these, we are making huge strides in developing new SMA research while also support our amazing families. Just ten years ago, Cure SMA only had one program in our drug development pipeline. Today, we now have 15 therapies in development with three currently in clinical trials. In addition to this exciting news, Cure SMA is also announcing new upgrades to help you meet and exceed your fundraising goals. First, we added in a software called CloudSponge which allows you to quickly and easily upload your contacts from an external email account such as Gmail, Yahoo!, Outlook and more. Simply click on “Invite Donors” and follow the quick and easy steps to sharing your personal fundraising page and story with all of your family, friends and colleagues.
For our second upgrade, we’ve added a drop down list of fundraiser names for donors to choose from when they click on the main “Donate” button on our event websites.
