8th Annual “Hope on the Hill” Congressional Dinner Will Be Held Later This Month in Washington D.C.

The 8th Annual “Hope on the Hill” Congressional Dinner will be held on Tuesday, November 27, bringing together SMA families, government officials, and industry leaders to look forward to the next stages for our community. Through this event, we hope to build momentum in the Washington D.C. area to increase awareness of our mutual goals in advancing treatments for SMA and improving patient care.

We are excited to announce that Walter Robb, Principal, Stonewall Robb Advisors & former Co-CEO at Whole Foods Market, will join us as the keynote speaker at this year’s event.

A number of special guests will be in attendance, including Rep. Sean Duffy, Rep. Katherine Clarke, Rep. Adam Kinzinger, Rep. Kevin Yoder, Rep, Seth Moulton, Rep. Brad Schneider, and Rep. Greg Walden.

Cure SMA remains focused on educating and engaging all groups in our community: families affected by SMA, governmental and regulatory groups, insurance and payers, and the biotech and pharmaceutical companies that are developing and testing SMA drugs. It is important now more than ever to make certain that regulators, payers, and industry partners understand the impact of SMA.

Around the Hope on the Hill event, we will also be hosting meetings with our collaborative industry group, our newborn screening coalition, and others. These meetings will allow us to further our advocacy efforts.
