Cure SMA is thrilled to announce that we will be extending travel scholarship opportunities to adults with SMA (18 and over) who are attending the 2019 Annual SMA Conference, taking place June 28-July 1, 2019 at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, CA.
Thanks to a generous grant funded by Genentech, Cure SMA will be providing travel stipends and hotel accommodations to adults with SMA attending the Conference. This scholarship will provide travel stipends for an adult with SMA and their aide, as well as one hotel room for up to three nights in the Cure SMA room blocks at Disneyland Hotel, Paradise Pier Hotel and Grand Californian Hotel. Hotel accommodations will be for one adult (18 and over) with SMA and one attendant in one room for both attendees to share. Please note, there are a limited number of hotel rooms and a limited number of scholarships available.
To apply for this scholarship, please submit a General Conference Scholarship application. Adults who have already registered for the conference and received a Dhont scholarship do not need to apply for this scholarship. You will receive an email with instructions and information on receiving this scholarship. As a reminder, The Dhont Family Foundation generously funds a scholarship for all adults (18 and over) with SMA who want to attend Conference. These scholarships waive the registration for one adult, plus one aide and can be applied for using the General Conference Scholarship application link provided above.
