Cure SMA Releases Schedule for the 2017 Annual SMA Conference

Cure SMA has released the schedule for the 2017 Annual SMA Conference, to be held at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL, June 29 – July 2.

The schedule includes the timeline of workshops and events, including the Meet and Greet, Researcher Relay Race, Teen Social, Newly Diagnosed Program, Family Friendly Poster Session, PJ Party & Movie Night, and memorable childrens’ programs. Additionally, there will be ample opportunity to network with other families and to interact with SMA researchers.

Also featured in this year’s schedule is Saturday night at Magic Kingdom Park. We thank Biogen for their generosity as the presenting sponsor of the Annual SMA Conference. This event is sure to be a highlight you won’t want to miss out on!

As always, the Family and Researcher conferences run alongside each other. Through the conferences, we bring together researchers, healthcare professionals, and families to network, learn and collaborate. The annual SMA Conference is the largest in the world for those affected by SMA, and also for those involved in providing support and care for SMA patients.

Registration for the Annual SMA Conference is well on its way to a record-setting number. Over 1,300 families and researchers have registered for the conference thus far, and 3,700 room nights are already reserved – the highest number to this point ever!

Spots are still available but in limited numbers, as our hotel block is 99% sold out. If you have not already done so, now is the time to register and book your hotel. We are anticipating the conference and hotel will sell out well in advance.

We look forward to reuniting as a community at this year’s conference in order to lend each other support and strength, and to learn about the latest advances in research and care. See you in Orlando!
