We are excited to announce that registration is now open for the 2020 Annual SMA Conference, which will be held at Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resort in Orlando, Florida from Thursday, June 11 – Sunday, June 14, 2020. We hope you can join us for another magical weekend together in Disney World!
With more than 2,500 attendees expected, we encourage everyone to register and book hotels early. Like in previous years, we anticipate the conference hotel block will sell out before registration closes.
As always, we will have many fun events planned for 2020, including Thursday’s Meet & Greet, Friday’s Family Friendly Researcher Poster Session, and Saturday’s Cure SMA Evening at a Disney Theme Park.
About the Annual SMA Conference
Every year, Cure SMA sponsors a conference to bring together leading SMA researchers, clinicians, and families living with SMA. Cure SMA has been hosting the since 1988, reuniting as a community each year to hear about the latest in community support, advances in research and patient care, and advocacy.
As always, the Family Conference, Researcher Meeting, and Clinical Care Meeting will run alongside each other. Through the conferences, we bring together researchers, healthcare professionals, and families to network, learn, and collaborate. The Annual SMA Conference is the largest conference in the world for those affected by SMA, and for those involved in providing support and care for SMA patients.
The weekend is filled with a wide variety of educational workshops, fun evening events, children’s programs, and much more. There are also many opportunities to connect and interact with other SMA families, and to receive first-hand updates from leading researchers and clinicians.

Attention SMA Researchers or Clinicians: If you are intending to register for the SMA Researcher Meeting or the Clinical Care Meeting, please note that registration for those portions of the conference are separate and will open soon. Please do not register for the Family Conference, as we want to ensure you are placed in the proper sessions.
