Spring 2016 Issue of Compass Now Available

The Spring 2016 issue of Compass is now available online.

As part of our most recent round of funding, we’ve announced eight grants totaling $890,000 for basic research, and two grants totaling $100,000 for clinical care research.

This issue introduces our ten grantees and gives background on each of their projects: what the project is, how the research will be conducted, and what the impact will be for those affected by SMA.

Without basic research, the SMA drug pipeline would not continue to grow and diversify, and we need both a breadth and depth of options in our quest for an effective SMA therapy. Likewise, without clinical care research, we wouldn’t be able to work towards understanding the issues that affect daily life for people with SMA.
