The Cure SMA spring event season is already making huge progress toward our goal of raising over $1.6 million to fund exciting new SMA research and critical family support programs.
Our Development Team here at Cure SMA is here to help you create new events in your area and grow existing events! Here are some great resources that we can provide you.
Fundraising Resources
Online Event Registration and Fundraising
Cure SMA provides each of our events with their own customized event website where you can register or purchase your ticket online with just the click of a button. Register and create your team today by checking out our Events Calendar.
Once registered, you can personalize your fundraising page, add a picture and email friends and family to sign up under your team or make an online donation. We’ve even made it easier by adding a feature that allows you to simply upload your accounts from any external email account such as Gmail, Yahoo!, AOL and more! Just click on “Invite Donors” and following the easy steps.
Development Team
Take advantage of our dedicated Development Team in helping you plan an event. They can help you by connecting you with local families, help research venues, provide reports, and create brochures, flyers, and websites for your event! Social Media
Fundraising is easier than ever thanks to social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. Simply post your personal fundraising page’s direct link and focus your ask on a specific call to action such as making a donation or joining your team. Cure SMA helps spread the word about fundraisers by promoting events on our National Facebook and Twitter accounts.

Create an Event in your Neighborhood
Start raising awareness in your community by hosting a family-friendly event in your town! Cure SMA has a dedicated Development Team to help you execute your fundraiser. From manuals and promotional materials to sample templates, we’re here for you from start to finish. Whether it is a walk-n-roll, golf tournament, or a dinner fundraiser, there are countless ways to show your support and raise awareness of SMA!
Join an Existing Event
There are plenty of ways to get involved in events in your community. Create a team for a local walk-n-roll in your area or you can join a committee! There is always room for volunteers to get involved with events as well. It may even help you get ideas to start planning your next event!
Host a Mini-fundraiser
If you are looking for quick and easy ways to raise funds, consider hosting a mini-fundraiser.
