Cure SMA Partners with the Clements Twins and Nail & Bone

The Clements Twins, Ava & Leah, are raising money and awareness for spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) through a partnership with Nail & Bone, a socially conscious nail polish company.

Their cousin Shane was diagnosed with SMA Type II at 10 months old. “Shane was a very strong and active baby,” according to Regina Philipps, Shane’s mother. “He was holding his head up on his own from birth. He rolled at 2 weeks old. He had attained the ability to sit if we put him in that position, but he had lost everything else – the ability to roll, to hold his head up if he was on his stomach, to move his legs, or to raise his arms more than a few inches.”

Shane and his entire family are dedicated to spreading awareness, raising funds, and advocating for all of those affected by SMA.

“Cure SMA has provided Shane and so many SMA families with care packages and equipment and has helped fund the research for SMA’s groundbreaking treatments. We are excited to have the Clements Twins and Cure SMA as part of the Strong Like Shane army.”

Nail & Bone are donating 20 percent of the proceeds of two nail polishes (Hope & Courage) back to Cure SMA. Their goal is to support those living with spinal muscular atrophy. Click here and order your nail polish today!

In just a year and a half they gained over 1 million followers on Instagram.
