Registration is now open for the 2019 Annual SMA Conference! This year’s conference will be held at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim, CA from Friday, June 28 through Monday, July 1, 2019. We are excited to bring the conference back to a Disney location and hope you can join us!
Disneyland Hotel, where the majority of the conference will take place, is a whimsical hotel with exceptional dining, special Disney character visits, outdoor movie nights, a complete fitness center, and a pool complex which includes two retro-themed pools, two whirlpool spas, cabanas, and two monorail waterslides. You are also just steps away from the vibrant Downtown Disney District and numerous other hotels of the Disneyland Resort area, including Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa.
We are expecting over 1,500 attendees, and we encourage everyone to register and book your hotel early. The conference and our hotel block will both sell out in advance of the registration deadline.
We will have many fun events planned for 2019, including the Friday Meet & Greet, Saturday’s Family Friendly Researcher Poster Session, and Sunday’s Disneyland Night at the Park.

Every year, Cure SMA sponsors a conference to bring together the leading SMA researchers, clinicians, and families living with SMA. Cure SMA has been hosting the Annual SMA Conference since 1988. We look forward to reuniting as a community at this year’s conference in order to lend each other support and strength and to learn about the latest advances in research and care.
As always, the Family Conference, Researcher Meeting, and Clinical Care Meeting run alongside each other. Through the conferences, we bring together researchers, healthcare professionals, and families to network, learn, and collaborate. The Annual SMA Conference is the largest conference in the world for those affected by SMA, and also for those involved in providing support and care for SMA patients.
The weekend is filled with a wide variety of workshops, keynote sessions with leading researchers, a family friendly researcher poster session, and more. There are also many opportunities to connect and interact with other SMA families and to receive first hand updates from the researchers.

Please do not register for the family conference, so that we may ensure you are placed in the proper sessions.
